Well this trip did not start out very well as when it come to ordering my selected bait for the trip "Monster worm" which I have been having a lot of success with and am massively confident in was not being Field tested anymore because of it's massive success I was straight on the blower to Rob at Aqua asking about there new range "The Edge" as there was not much info on the site at the time as it had only just been released for testing, After a long conversation with Rob and me asking lots and lots of questions Rob convinced me that this was as good as the worm if not better so my order was placed and I was ready that go.

Me and my very good friend Winny were off to fish on Etang da le Botte On the Goncourt Complex France for a week, we ended up on a swim known as the point were we had a massive amount of water to fish, Winny was on the left and had about 2 acres of water to fish and me on the right with about 3 acres, After going out in the boat and placing a H block at about 90 to 100 yards central to the large island to my left and the margin to my right, all the rods would be placed at the same range with my left hand rod 20 feet of the island, the 2 middle rods ether side of the H block and my right hand rod about 5 rod length's off the right hand margin. About 2 kilo's of hemp, crushed Edge boilies and maize was scattered on each spot. My selected end tackle was to be running rigs with 5oz leads straight onto fluorocarbon leaders the rigs consisted of 7" suffix heavy skin with a curved size 5 esp hooks D rig style and mounted on the hair was a 15m THE EDGE boilie tipped with artificial maze, well thats the borin bit out of the way!

Well all i can say is it went off big time and that 1st afternoon i landed 4 carp to 30lb and a lovely 41lb 12oz mirror, Winny on the other hand had not had a single bleep so the decision was made to put 1 of his rods in a sneaky little hole just behind us in the margin on my side and fish 5 rods but go a fish a peace as after the 1st night and no sleep through fish crashing on my spots and a few fish lost it was apparent that i had a massive amount of carp in my side of the swim, and my approach with the running rigs was scrapped and fixed leads were used to try and stop us losing so many fish through hook pulls as the carp in here were mostly feeding over gravel there mouth's were tough as old leather shoe's

well all this worked and we started working as a team with winny taking my rig out after he had a fish and vice verser and all this because if it was me on my own i think i would of been coming home in a coffin, 10 minutes we would give the bait from hitting the water and it was screaming off and another lump would be gracing are well used unhooking mat we also decided to rest the swim every morning and go have a well deseved shower and breccy and start hauling the fish again in the afternoon and into the night

I started to find it hard to believe that out of 12 anglers on the 28 acre lake that only my rods where producing fish and that 90% of the lake stock had set up base camp and did not move for the whole week, plus all the other anglers were getting a wee bit cheesed off watching me and Winny taking picture's of fish all week and and only a couple of them banking a couple of small small carp and a few cats but what can I say we had "THE EDGE" I did fell sorry for them as most went home a day early because they could take no more

  We ended up banking 51 carp beetween the 2 of us i had 41lb 12oz mirror 2x 30+ mirrors 1x 30+ commons 1x 34lb 10z Leather 7x 20s to 28lb 15x doubles to 19lb plus 2 CATS 69lb and 58lb
Winny had a lovely 42lb 1oz common 4 x 30lb commons  11x 20s to 28lb 8x doubles to 18lb

Paul went away with 15 kilos of boilies he has made by a local lad and went home with 12 kilos and is now hooked on THE EDGE, I dont know what was as keeping them carp infront of me all week could of been the weather or the carp gods but they were mopping up the edge and giving it us back on the mat later along with the maze and hemp and i know I will be using it again with alot of confidence in the future

I take my hat of to Aqua Dynamix Team for yet another class bait

WELL DONE LADS AND MANY THANKS :)
